When in Canada do as the Canadians do???

Let me attempt to sum this up- my long weekend spent with some of my favorite people in the world in one of the best places on Earth- Megan's new home British Columbia :)

As previously discussed my trip involved a drive, fly, shuttle, and bus trip to my final destination where Megan, Anna (who had landed earlier in Vancouver), and Amy (Megan's new sister in law) picked me up. From there we went to White Rock, it was gorgeous, we enjoyed Apps and 3 pitchers of beer (yes I said 3)... kind of set the tone for the trip!
The next days involved relaxing, preparing Megan's second wedding, the best Chinese food I've ever had, decorating, getting dolled up, and inevitably waiting for our ride to the reception. At the wedding I got sat with some really fun people- obviously I'm not shy so I didn't have a hard time making friends. Before I knew it my "new friends" had brought out this little game- aka the death of me. Oh dear baby Jesus, I think this one is for me. I suffered some minor injuries that night: a concussion, severely injured my shoulder, scrapes on both knees and hips, and a sore tailbone- utter humiliation to say the least. Sunday was the gift opening and I had a blast lounging, eating, and enjoying the company of Mike and Megan's families. Then we headed to Vancouver for Italian food and a tour compliments of Mike's Dad- we saw the hooker/crackhead district and all the other cool parts of the town. Our last day was GORGEOUS outside- we enjoyed an outdoor lunch at Dublin's then trekked to the park to lie in the sun. The middle school students were playing soccer so Megan took us on a shortcut.I apparently couldn't handle "off roading" it with the girls- when we finally set up camp my feet were completely tore up and dirty- Megan and Anna's were not. Our "camp" was next to the softball field, Anna had stripped down to her swimsuit when we heard some jr. high boys heading our way, turns out it was the entire 8th grade gym class coming to play ball. You can see them all coming in the background- and once again another embarrassing moment in our trip. As Anna threw her dress back on the little boys yelled, "That's okay hunny." To make matters even better/worse, when we were finally ready to walk home school was just getting out and everyone was waiting for their ride while we made our way through the crowd.
When we got back Megan put neosporin on me- I miss her SOOO much! Our last night we headed to the Dublin for some drinks with friends- obviously debated the question everyone is asking, "What do you think of Sarah Palin?" Seriously- I sat back, didn't say a word, and laughed at Dan trying to lighten the mood by dancing in his chair. I also tried my first Irish Car Bomb, shocking it was my first I know, and ps it was my last- I'll stick to JagBombs thanks :) The next morning we woke up bright and early, although not early enough- this is us chasing my bus to the border (you may have already heard this story if you read Megan's blog). We caught it at the border and I said a quick good bye- jumped on board and cried the whole way to Seattle.
When I boarded the plane I thought my luck was changing- I had the row to myself, but of course the last passenger to board was my new neighbor. It gets worse, he is quite the talker. Mid-flight at about 36,000 feet he leans over and says, "Can I ask you a question, what do you think of Sarah Palin?" SERIOUSLY- I was doing everything in my power to avoid the topic/try not to laugh thinking of the previous night's conversations. My plane landed safe and sound, I drove back to Duluth, got home around 12:30 am and woke up to the real world- aka the job from hell.
