Part Time Job: Dog Sitter

My parents asked me to dog sit Ranger this weekend while they were in the cities with Tay Tay for hockey (yes I realize it is April, hockey is now year round).... Here's a pic of my weekend companion- much younger, he's grayed quite a bit now...
Friday night I enjoyed cable (aka no bunny ears)- I discovered "SoapNetwork" and watched Beverly Hills 90210 pretty much back to back until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. Saturday was nice out so Ranger and I went for a walk, then I went to my Aunt's house for dinner and to see Cinderella.

The play was done SOOOO well, but I have to say and I hate to be negative about a children's story- but has anyone else noticed how unrealistic that storyline is? I mean for goodness sake "Prince Charming" asks if he loves her because he's beautiful or if she's beautiful because he loves her? When they talk about how they're in love after 10 minutes I was thinking "Hey prince did you have any alcohol at this ball?" I'm just saying that may impair some people's judgement. And Cinderella, why are you okay with this? Not to mention the fact he didn't even recognize her in her commoner clothes and thought she was the sister of the girl he "loved." Maybe he was thinking, "Well if I can't find her, I guess I'll settle for her sister- I mean they look alike right? It's not like I talked to this girl at all- we just danced and said we loved each other in the middle of my parents perfectly groomed garden." Sounds to me like Prince Charming is quite the player- the young girls didn't seem to notice the things I did and were SOOO cute dressed in gowns to get their picture taken with Cinderella on stage after the performance. I know many of you are disappointed that I didn't dress up and get my picture taken in the carriage- for that I apologize.

Instead, I decided to go meet Jen and the Pin Knockers at their end of year bowling dance. It was 50s themed- most people wore this....
I did not. I did dance the night away and had a blast, I sipped diet coke all night (but pretended it was Captain so I wouldn't get crap from anyone). After the weekend I successfully stayed on track to finishing Phase 1 of SBD (aka 2-week hell). I guess some of my blog friends are familiar with what I am going through.

It was nice to have a fun relaxing weekend, work is flying by this week and soon enough it will be Jenn's bachelorette party- I am so EXCITED to hang out with all the girls and having a limo won't be too bad either :)

PS Just an update because I know some of you are anxious to know- I'm on the 4th Twilight book. Still waiting to see the movie when I'm done reading :) I can't even get over how much I love it...

Devil Diet

Lucas (my boss) and I are on strict diets... earlier this week we put out his leftover girl scout cookies and were astounded by how quickly they were gobbled up. It actually became inspirational for us- watching people eat unneeded calories without hesitation made us feel better about ourselves. So today we decided to be encouraged some more... PS We didn't put out the Ramen, someone else did...
PPS At the bottom of the sign it says "We Love (heart) You All!"

French Braids, Please Don't Make a Comeback

My boss absolutely HATES french braids, he thinks they are disgusting and I totally agree. I'm not talking about the cute side swept braid that the red carpet has been frequenting the red carpet lately... these are cute:I'm referring to all hair in a braid completely centered- starting at the top and going all the way to the back. Which is exactly how I did my hair today just to annoy him- and it worked.

Yes it's true- this is OFFICIALLY my 100th POST... I hope you've found some enjoyment in reading my blog- I always seem to have fun writing it, despite the fact there aren't too many people who read it :)

In honor of this event I thought I would share my Top 5 posts (in my eyes):
5. It's Official- I found out some new people read my blog- and got my most comments to date.
4. My List- I have referenced this in my life since posting it, but never used it :(
3. 7 Ways My Life Has Changed Since September- This chapter of my life is over and I'm suprised I miss it. This post also made this list because it had a spin-off.
2. All Supermodels have long hair... (the myths our mothers tell us) - I love my family
1. Will they really let me into Canada?- I still can't believe I posted this!

Honorable Mention: Yummy Yummy Screw- This poster stayed in my room for a few months.

Officially Addicted

I finished book one in two days- already looking forward to seeing the movie and diving into book number two. Taylor (who NEVER reads) saw the movie 5 times, then stole the book this weekend from me and read 150 pages in one day. HELLO? Are you hearing me yet? Stop being stubborn and get on board of the Twillight phenomenon. Yes- Leah and Anna I'm talking to you! Just because Happy Day likes it and talks about it- doesn't mean you should deprive yourself... Are any of my readers fans?

Let the Good Times Roll...

Tara just posted this picture on Facebook, I think it is so cute of us, it was taken one of the Wednesdays at the Powerhouse while watching her try out for WeFest Karoke... both Tara and Leah are still in the running to win- can't wait to see what happens! GOOD LUCK GIRLS!

Question- if I sang karoke, what song do you think I should do?

S-U-C-C-E-S-S, This is how I spell SUCCESS

Success= Soulja Boy, why? I didn't get in a fight (although I was pushed). I knew one of the songs. I got to spend time with Libby, Ashlee, and some of Lib's friends. When it was time to Superman we were so crammed it was more of a mosh so I had no issues blending in while I was getting beat like an egg on Sunday morning.Success= Smear Tourney. No, I did not win. My parents did and they used their earning to reimburse me for my entry fee. I played for 13 1/2 hours- including the 4 1/2 hours after the tourney was over where I made myself some pocket change. Then made a trip to the muni with my Daddio for some fun laughs with his friends.
Success= Seeing Anna again on Sunday- she is getting so big. Jen was taking pictures of her and I'm sure if you head over to stickyfeathers she will have some up and blogged soon. -No pressure :)
Success= Seeing I Love You Man for the 2nd time- I am in love with this movie, but how could I not be with Paul Rudd and Jason Segal starring in it.

All in all a great weekend, this weekend we are headed to Hayward, WI for a family Easter gathering- always a good time! I LOVE this time of year, the winter depression is finally subsiding and I'm ready for spring to be here!

Superman That Oh...

Tomorrow night I am going to the Soulja Boy concert... while I'm UBER ecstatic I can' t help but stress about my lack of ability to do the Crank That dance... I have this weird feeling I will find myself in a similar position to the woman in the red coat on the right of this picture...
Wish me luck... I'm thinking I will just do the Superman part and people will think I know what I'm doing... Maybe everyone will be drunk?

Saturday I'm getting up early and heading to the Bay for the BIG SMEAR TOURNEY... this usually showcases the top 3 reasons you know I'm Mike Guzzo's daughter/best friend:
1. I have been thinking about this tournament since October.
2. I remember every play and analyze each game to figure out how we could have played our hands differently.
3. I enjoy hanging out with his friends, having a couple beers, snacks, and casual conversations.
